I suggest someone tells me how to change the pixels of my pics. I tried to upload some on RP.net tonite as its been awhile and I think I have a few good ones, it comes back and says they are to big 2856x2142 :shock: so I tried some tinkering to my best abilities and shank them to 1256x800 and all I can see now is one corner of the original pic, luckly I destroyed a pic I didnt care so much about. :oops:

is my camera saving them to big or what, how do I change this. :x

Resizing an image, luckily, is a pretty straight forward process. Let us know what software (if any) you are using to edit your pictures, and I'm sure someone can help get you the procedure you need.

There are several good and free image programs. Just be sure that whatever one you chose, you select bi-cubic sizing!

I dont have any real editing stuff, just the basic windows picture viewer that is already on the computer. I have always thought a picture is just that, and if its edited then it is no longer a real picture but rather a graphic image, so I have a hard time lightening, darkening and cropping pics just so they are "accepted" on RP.net......

anyway off my lil soap box now...... is there any way I can shrink them down using just microsoft picture/fax viewer like I have now???

What type of camera are you using? I had the same issue when they made the switch and found it was eaiser to just change the settings on my camera, the size the now requireshould be a standard setting on just about any digital camera.

Search the web. There are great programs that will help with resizing, lightening, darken, and so on. That way, you can take larger photos (file sizes) and touch them up in the digital darkroom. Maybe Iowadave has some suggestions.
