I was browsing the mnhs image archives and found the pic of the old WC bridge over the St. Croix.

You can still see the footings from the new bridge these days.. someday I'm going to find the old ROW. It's on private property though..

is this new bridge North or South of the old bridge. the only time I walked out on that bridge the river was high and I dont recall seeing the old pillars.

The existing bridge is North of this location. I'm not sure if you could see those old pillars from it as it is a ways from there.

Great PIC Tim I always wondered what it looked like.

Well that explains some. I never would have guessed that the actual rail would have been that much higher then the block pilings.
