yes 4 AC motors instead of the 6. by going with 4 motors you actualy have more HP per wheel since the generator only puts out so much amps, said amps divided by 6 motors or 4 motors. since they are planning on using them in high speed intermodel service there isnt alot of need for heavy pulling so wheel slip shouldnt be an issue. I thought it was a weight and cost issue. if 4 work why use 6 motors.

On edit there are three pics, 6600, 6601, 6604 on RR archive but the moron put them in as ES44DC. I hate when people just guess at what stuff is. loco even says ES44C4 on the side ... :roll:
