Well 8 for today 12/24 is slated to arrive just before 16:00, it sounded like 7 continued west last night behind the 23 hour late 7 if the 12/22. That must have been a sight on the river sub, Amtrak chasing Amtrak

More bad news Severe weather from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest has caused rail infrastructure and railcar issues, affecting deployment cycles for equipment and train crews. Several trains to and from Chicago are being cancelled in order to prepare to properly re-deploy equipment and crews. Trains 7 & 27 scheduled to originate in Chicago on December 23 will depart behind schedule and operate only as far as St. Paul. No alternate transportation is available. As of now, #7 is either an hour early OR 23 hours behind..... not sure which it is. I am guessing the power will spin around tonite and head right back in an attempt to get #8 back on schedule. They better get there crap together I do not want to be 6-10 hours behind schedule when I head out Jan 2nd. |

#7 of 12/28 is only 1 hour and some odd minutes behind schedule, On edit as i am typing this AMTK 1007 just got there GTB cleared and is on main two up to Hoffman. looks like atleast #7 might be getting back to normal. as of now there is no #8 showing up on the trace. |

I have been able to catch #8 the last few "nights" as they are getting in anywhere between 6pm and 10pm, however Sundays 8 was not scheduled until 3 Monday morning, Braham you may want to move your departure ahead 1 day to make it to Chicago on time
